The activities of the ATAA focus on programs and services that nurture professional arts touring, connecting audiences to artists.The ATAA’s vision is guided by an elected, volunteer Board of Directors, who represent a broad cross section of community presenters from each provincial region, artists, artist managers and touring companies that provide a crucial perspective and expertise on arts touring issues.In addition, the organization ensures that the arts and performing arts touring issues are top-of-mind with local, provincial and national governments, arts organizations, and funding entities. Recently, the ATAA has organized an Equity Action Advisory Committee (EAAC) in the hopes that this committee will help us discover artists from underserved arts communities and bridge the gaps between the existing arts presenting communities in Alberta and these untapped artistic communities.
